Privacy constitutes one of the fundamental human rights and requires special protection in conditions of intensive information flows and the development of communication technologies. The Institute for Human Rights and Media (IHRM) works to protect individual privacy in the media and the digital environment, including the right to the protection of personal data, image, private and family life, and personal rights.
IHRM monitors violations of privacy resulting from media publications, the activities of digital platforms, unauthorized data processing, and communicative abuses. The Institute's activities include analyses and reports, legal and expert support, mediation, and interventions in cases where privacy violations lead to personal, social, or professional harm, as well as to restrictions on other rights and freedoms.
