Media ethics constitutes a key element in the protection of human rights within the information environment. The Institute for Human Rights and Media works to promote and enforce ethical standards in media activity and digital communication, with particular emphasis on accuracy, responsibility for the spoken and written word, and respect for human dignity and individual rights.
IHRM analyzes violations of ethical standards in the media, including cases of manipulation, dehumanization, stigmatization, hate speech, and the instrumental use of information. The Institute's activities include monitoring and analysis, the issuance of opinions and recommendations, mediation, expert and educational support, as well as cooperation with newsrooms, institutions, and expert bodies to strengthen responsible communication practices.
