Disinformation constitutes one of the key threats to human rights, freedom of expression, and the right to information in the media and digital environment. The Institute for Human Rights and Media focuses on analyzing and countering practices involving the deliberate dissemination of false or misleading content, the manipulation of communication, and the use of information as a tool of pressure, exclusion, or symbolic violence.

IPCiM conducts monitoring of the media and the internet, identifies disinformation mechanisms, and examines their social, legal, and communicative effects. The Institute's activities include analyses, reports, fact-checking, expert and legal support, as well as interventions in cases where disinformation leads to violations of human rights, personal rights, privacy, or the integrity of public debate.
